What is 'ADS' protective measures against electric shock?

ADS means 'Automatic Disconnection of Supply' where all exposed conductive parts of current using electrical equipments are bonded together. Does my house in Berkshire need re-wiring?

If your house has black coloured cables entering the consumer unit or lead sheathed cables and your sockets or lights are round pin plugs then your house needs re-wiring at the earliest opportunity.
